About Venmo Fees
Sending Money:
- Sending money to people using your credit card: 3.00%
- Sending money using Visa+ to other eligible digital wallets: 1.75% (min. $0.25, max $25)
- Adding money using the cash a check feature (payroll and government checks): 1.00% (minimum $5 fee)
- Adding money using the cash a check feature (other checks): 5.00% (minimum $5 fee)
- Receiving payments for goods and services (effective July 1, 2024): 2.99%
- Receiving payments for goods and services (until June 30, 2024): 1.9% + $0.10
- Receiving payments in your charity profile: 1.9% + $0.10
- Receiving payments in your business profile: 1.9% + $0.10 or 2.29% + $0.09 (Tap to Pay)
- Receiving business profile promotional payments: 2.9% + applicable fees
- Adding cash at stores: $3.74
- Instant Transfer: 1.75% (minimum $0.25 fee, maximum $25 fee)
- Purchase or sale amount $1.00 – $4.99: $0.49
- Purchase or sale amount $5.00 – $24.99: $0.99
- Purchase or sale amount $25.00 – $74.99: $1.99
- Purchase or sale amount $75.00 – $200.00: $2.49
- Purchase or sale amount $200.01 – $1000.00: 1.80%
- Purchase or sale amount >$1000: 1.50%
- Transferring cryptocurrency to an address outside Venmo or PayPal: Varies (cryptocurrency network fee)
- ATM withdrawal (out-of-network): $2.50
- Over-the-counter cash withdrawal: $3.00
- Cash Advances: $10.00 or 5% of the amount (whichever is greater)
